Though the Mountains be shaken and the Hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed”, says the LORD, who has compassion on you! Isaiah 54:10

In this verse, Our Lord underscores his love with a comparison! Can you move a Mountain? Can you remove a Hill? Well.. We wonder it is not a simple task to remove these mighty peaks from existence! A whole lot of dynamite might at least rearrange the landscape significantly. A nuclear bomb may flatten or topple the great mountains! It is not completely destroyed! Even greater force than a cataclysmic eruption is necessary! Such is the difficulty in moving the mountains! It is one of the most permanent and enduring things on the earth! Likewise our Lord has promised that though the mountains may be removed from here to there, the hills may shake back and forth, his love and his covenant of peace will not be removed from us! It is that deep compassionate love that nothing can replace! His compassion never fails! This precious promise is our life saver during our times of disappointment, failures and loneliness.
