King Solomon built a magnificent temple to the Lord. It was glorious in splendor and might. People who saw it were filled with awe and praised the King for his wisdom in building such a fantastic temple. People and Kings from nations and all over the world came and visited that temple and prayed from there.

Over the years,when the King had strayed away from the Lord and when his kingdom was torn apart and when his sons and grandsons did not reign like him, they started to have enemies from all the sides. They took over the treasures of the temple,demolished it and burnt it. Now there was a question on how this temple will be rebuilt?

Many a times our life is like the temple which King Solomon had built. It was created by God and it was beautiful. It was a holy temple to the Lord. Over the years, when we went away from the Lord, sin entered and attacks of Satan became common. We were ignorant of the attacks of Satan and gave way to him.

Our life was torn and broken down. Pain had filled in and tears became our food day and night. We had questions like, “Will our life be rebuilt?”, “Is there hope”?

God raised people like Nehemiah to build and restore the temple. He was obedient to listen to Gods word and accomplished the task that the Lord set for him. People of Israel cried for their sins and repented. Their torn lives were started to get rebuilt.

And you my dear brothers and sisters, Are you crying over the lost things in your life? Are you regretting your past decisions and mistakes? Are you thinking that your life will never be the same? Are you seeing only sadness and are you waiting for joy? Do not worry my dear ones, there is hope still. In Jeremiah 31:4 the Lord says,

“Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice”

What a comforting word! God says not only will our lives be rebuilt, we will even go and dance with joy with people who are rejoicing. As how the great temple was restored to his holiness and splendor, so will be our lives be restored double-fold. We will see double for trouble, joy for sorrows and beauty for ashes.

Your days of happiness is soon coming! Wait on the Lord! He will restore your life! He will rebuild your life! “The pain cannot be compared to the Joy that is coming”! Amen! God Bless You!
