DECISION MAKING WITH DEEP PRAYERS

Making a decision is an essential part of life and taking the correct decision is most significant of it. Decisions cost our life. The need to make decisions can come in any point of life, on how to deal with a situation, which job to choose, what to study, whom to marry, how to solve a problem etc .You make a bad one, you face the dire consequences. You make a good one and you reap good fruits out of it. Some involve God in it by making some prayers and only a few people wait on God fervently to make the right one. How much do we pray before making an important decision? How much do we involve God in that process? Fasting along with deep prayers had seemed to be very effective when taking important decisions or in the process of making one or in dealing with a bad situation.

Let’s see some examples from the bible:

  • Esther fasted three days and three nights and sat in sackcloth and prayed for the protection of her people from evil. She did it before she appealed to the King about it. God gave her the wisdom on how to rightfully approach the King and convey him the matter and yes, God gave her victory on it! Not only was she able to save herself, she was able to save an entire nation. Are you ready to be like Esther to fast and pray before dealing with a bad situation?
  • The Son of God-Jesus Christ fasted forty days and forty nights before embarking on his ministry in the earth. Being the God himself, did he need to pray that much? Yes, he has showed us an example that we need to do some deep prayers before beginning a great journey. It can be a new job, construction of a new house or marriage. Are you ready to pray like Jesus before stepping on to a new beginning?
  • The Son of God-Jesus Christ tarried all night in prayer before choosing his twelve disciples. Choosing people for his earthly life and ministry was such a significant one that the Lord himself continued all night in prayer before he prayerfully choose them. Yes, it had proved to be a great decision that we see eleven of them becoming great apostles that we speak about them till today. Are you ready to pray like Jesus before making a decision which involves choosing?

Hence my dear friends, be it making an decision on dealing with one, ensure to pray deeply with fasting such that God will help you to make the right one by giving his wisdom and guidance. He will strengthen you and provide you his leading. Amen! God Bless You!
