Many a times in our lives, when we are taking important decisions or pondering over making one/or if something is happening/about to happen-We are caught in dilemma whether it is from God/if it is from Satan or if it is from your own flesh which is taking that decision. We are utterly confused and do not know the next step to take. The thing may seem very good, it may have no.of merits to it, it would have come from a known person, it would have had something for you to be benefited.

At times like that, how do we know if it is a Blessing from God or otherwise?

The Word of God says in Proverbs 10:22,”The Blessing of the Lord makes one Rich, And he adds No Sorrow to it”. What does this word depict? What is God speaking to us through this? What is he telling on how to discern if it is from the Lord?

If it is from the Lord, the following will happen,

1. You will have complete peace about that thing : There will be no doubts, no anxiety, no halfheartedness, no second thoughts. It will be an outstanding peace that will fill your heart, mind and soul.
2. That thing will never contradict with the Word of the Lord : Many a times what it may seem good is not Good at all because it is not Godly. It may be right but it may not fit in the Word of the Lord. As a believer, our decisions should always be fitting with the scriptures. God’s blessing will never contradict the Scriptures.
3. There will be No adjustments : If it is a blessing from the Lord, the thing will flow in smoothly. You need not make adjustments, you need not compromise on something, you need not give in something, you will have no need to cry about it to get it. You will be amazed how things fall into place automatically.

When you do not feel any of the above, but because it seems good to your eyes, because someone said it is good for you and if you go ahead with that decision/blessing–For a while, you will be happy but then you will face the horrible consequences. That time you will realize that, that thing was not from the Lord. But then it will be too late. You will go through the consequences, repent and then it will take a while before you are back to normalcy and set your heart on the Lord.

Hence my dear friends, be very mindful when you are making significant decisions/accepting blessings-Not everything is from the Lord. Our God is a Gracious God who loves to give good things to us, who loves to bless us abundantly. Wait on the Lord, Take Courage, As proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” May the Lord grant you the wisdom to understand things and May he fill you with his abundant Blessings, Riches and Honor.
